GA Jersey Village, formerly Generation Alpha: the story behind our name

If you searched for Generation Alpha and landed here, you are in the right place. Generation Alpha is the name this company operated under before we became GA Jersey Village. Same office on the Northwest Freeway, same leadership, same team, same nonprofit mission. This article exists so nobody has to guess about that.
Why we changed the name
Generation Alpha was the name we started with. As the work grew, one thing became clearer every month: everything we do is rooted in one place. Our events run in Houston neighborhoods. Our school programs run in Houston area schools. Our team lives here. Jersey Village is where our office sits and where much of our week actually happens, and we wanted a name that says so plainly.
GA Jersey Village keeps a thread back to the old name in the initials and plants the rest of it firmly in the community we serve. When a nonprofit partner or a new team member hears it, they immediately know where we are and who we are for.
What did not change
- The team. The people who ran outreach as Generation Alpha are the people running it today, led by CEO Phyllis Gong.
- The office. We are at 13201 Northwest Fwy, Suite 310, Houston, TX 77040, and you are welcome to visit.
- The mission. We work exclusively with nonprofit organizations, and our outreach partnership with L.E.A.D. (Law Enforcement Against Drugs) continues exactly as before.
- The standards. In person outreach, real events, and real people. That was true under the old name and it is true now.

A rebrand can make a company harder to look up, so here is the honest map. Anything you find under Generation Alpha, including older job listings and employee reviews on hiring sites, refers to this company before the name change. Anything under GA Jersey Village is us today. Our current work is easiest to see on our LinkedIn page and Instagram, where we post the events we actually run.
